Lucy has also completed training in the Oxford University interview process and has previously interviewed for the Human Sciences BA degree. Alongside her work at Crimson, Lucy is finishing her DPhil at the University of Oxford in Anthropology, supported by the prestigious Clarendon scholarship. She has won several prizes for her work, including the Owen Aldis award from the International Society for Human Ethology, and the best student presentation award from the European Federation for Primatology. In 2020 she also served as Magdalen College MCR President, winning the Herbert Warren Memorial Benefaction for contribution to the life of the college.
Before this Lucy completed her BA at the University of Cambridge, where she read Human Social and Political Science (HSPS) and graduated with a 1st class degree. She then went on to do her MSc in Primate Behaviour and Conservation at Liverpool John Moores University and achieved a distinction.
Sonam Aidasani was born and raised in St. Thomas of the United States Virgin Islands and moved to the continental US to attend Duke University for undergrad (where she majored in Sociology and Education). After undergrad, she was a Senior Admissions Officer with the Duke Office of Undergraduate Admissions where she read and evaluated applications from Texas, Michigan, Indiana, West Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. She has read over 10,000 applications during her career thus far and has a particularly good eye for catching discrepancies within applications. She also worked on events and initiatives with Duke's Pratt School of Engineering, College Board, and ACT. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, listening to music, stand-up comedy, watching movies, and hot yoga.
