I’m in Y13 and doing the UoA Young scholars this year, and I know that US Uni doesn’t start until Sept, and I’m doing NCEA so I will have UoA as my backup which I will attend next year as I only know of acceptances in April.
Does that make me a transfer?

In short, no it wouldn’t you should be fine. Most students who get into US Universities typically do 1 semester at University just to keep their mind active. It’s quite common.
But I would be doing 2 semesters
Hi Anon!
I did the UoA Young Scholars program through the Accelerated Math 153 Pathway and a semester at UoA before heading over. You are not a transfer applicant
