I heard Princeton makes their freshmen go out into the woods for orientation? Please tell me that’s not true…
As an Outdoor Action leader, I firmly believe that OA does a really good job in making sure students get trips that they are comfortable with, and on those trips, only do things that they are willing to do as well. However, the very nature of such a trip also challenges freshmen to push the boundaries of their comfort zone and learn from the experience. However, if you’re really adamant against it, you can also opt for Community Action, and spend a week doing community service in the Princeton and Trenton area too!
