Eating clubs, like frats, can be thought of as primarily social institutions. Members go there to eat most of their meals, and for upperclassmen, they often serve as the main social hub and “home base” on campus other than their dorms. You join them in the spring semester of your sophomore year, and eating clubs will host events such as game nights, members nights, formals, and will open for nights out on the Street on weekends.
