SAT vs ACT Scoring
Is scoring high in the new SAT less prestigious compared to scoring high in the ACT? eg. 1600 vs 36

No, the schools will view them equally. The SAT/ACT is just one part of your application used to gauge how you perform relative to other applicants (and to look good for their statistics). The only issue you may encounter with the new SAT is that old practice exams and resources are limited.
