Subject problems

Hi
So, I am in my second last year of High School in South Africa and I’m thinking of studying in the US. I haven’t decided what I want to study yet, but it’s between Economics or Medicine. The only problem is that I take the subject Accounting. I would have taken Economics instead but my school doesn’t offer it. Will that stop me from studying Economics in University? Also, I only took Physical Sciences and not Biology because when I chose my subjects I didn’t know what I wanted to study. Will that stop me from being accepted to study medicine?

Thank you.

Not taking accounting won’t stop you studying economics as you can start it at university. Lots of Crimson students do this

You generally need biology for medicine in many universities but not all universities. This may be a problem if you don’t have it.

Please send your grades and target universities to f.jiang@crimsoneducation.org and we can give more specific insights on once we know where you are applying.
