Hi! I’ve completed my RD Stanford application for this round, and I’ve currently kept my top two preferred majors as Computer Science & Humanities, and Science, Tech and Society - I can’t find a lot of info online about the popularity and quality of these courses, and I was just wondering if choosing an interdisciplinary major is a good option.
I would say this is a good idea. Generally applying for computer science is pretty challenging so I would hope you have a very competitive candidacy to be doing this but it usually more optimal to go interdisciplinary than pure CS because at least you cut out a large pool of competition that way. Science, Tech and Society is viewed as a fairly non-academic major so I would consider switching this for something else like Philosophy.
