Hannah grew up in rural Yorkshire, attending state secondary schools with little history of sending students to Oxford and Cambridge, so she understands the challenges of facing an unfamiliar application process. She graduated from the University of Cambridge with a 1st class degree in Natural Sciences, specialising in Plant Sciences. After graduating, Hannah spent some time gaining more laboratory experience before returning to Cambridge to train as a science teacher. Hannah taught in a secondary school for 3 years and particularly enjoyed supporting and mentoring students, which led her to pursue a career in university admissions.
In 2014, Hannah went to work for the University of Oxford, and in the years that followed worked in three different Oxford colleges, in roles spanning outreach to schools and applicants, undergraduate admissions, and supporting on-course students. She has an in-depth knowledge of the application process, extensive experience of supporting students, valuable insight into what makes a successful applicant, and how universities make admissions decisions. She also has a breadth of experience to draw upon about college community and academic life at both Oxford and Cambridge and other universities across the UK. Hannah is extremely passionate in using her expertise to support students around the world explore their course and university options, and guide them through the admissions process.
