King’s College London is the fourth oldest university in England and one of the top 25 universities in the world. It is London’s most central university, with five campuses linked through the heart of the capital, enabling King’s to build partnerships with key London institutions and form international conversations. Known for it’s dedication to and research, King’s has played a major role in many of the advances that shape modern life, such as the discovery of the structure of DNA and research that led to the development of radio, television, mobile phones and radar.
King's was founded in 1828 by a group of politicians and churchmen who wanted a Church of England alternative to what later became University College London (UCL) then known as 'the godless college'.
King's has more than 27,600 students from some 150 countries, and some 6,800 staff. It has a particularly distinguished reputation in the humanities, law, the sciences and social sciences.
